“You can fool yourself, you know. You’d think it’s impossible, but it turns out it’s the easiest thing of all.”
Jodi Picoult, Vanishing Acts
In everything you do, be true to your own self. Sometimes circumstances and situations may cause us to exaggerate some aspects of our lives in order to look more respectable and capable.
Lying will not make you better than who you truly are. When you finish your acts before people, the truth still remains and you know it deep in your heart.
Lying will not make you a happy person. It sucks one into itself and ends up in embarrassment and tarnished image.
Lies breeds more lies. People in all levels of the pyramid of life lie. Lying has ruined many people.
Stop Lying to Yourself
It does not take much for you to tell yourself the truth. The first thing is to understand and accept the reality of your situation. You can then plan and move at your own paste gradually as you seek to archive your goal.
Cut out the people, things, and those places that make you want to play the role of someone you are not. Understand that our situations are not permanent and everyone has their own track. Lying to yourself can never help you.
You will be happier when you don’t have to run and hide because someone has caught on to your lies. Have integrity. There are many people who want to help you but your pretense (false life showing you have it all) is hindering help from coming to you.
Always be true in what you do for the truth drives away the darkness and sets you free.
