On Sickness and Death

“Life on earth is temporary. May we pursue peace and live in harmony with one another.

Lailah Gifty Akita

Sickness and death are realities of life. We do not wish these things on ourselves. Anyone can fall sick and everyone will eventually die one way or the other. Our days are short and full of events and choices that ultimately impact the kind of life we lead.

The reality of sickness and death should not scare us from living our lives but should remind us that our bodies are fragile and can fail at any time. Therefore each moment of each day should be taken seriously. Death can take us or our loved ones in an instant. The person you see now can disappear in an instant without warning.

Sickness and Death are part of Life

“We must be conscious of this; one day, the life we have, will be gone.”

Lailah Gifty Akita

We should take our relationships seriously and give them the time and attention they deserve especially our loved ones. Sickness does not always mean death but it’s an alarm reminding us to always try and have our affair in order.

Do your best to express your love both in words and action making sure they know you care. Do not wait until sickness or death threatens you or your loved ones before you make your move.

Life and death keep the world in a balance, and it’s the natural ways of all men. Do your best to take good care of your body and your mind. Life is a gift and family and friends are also gifts. Enjoy them and also let them enjoy you.
