Hurting your loved ones
“When you hurt the one you love, you are bound to hurt yourself”Sam Praveen
We all make mistakes. There are times we get in over our heads and give in to negative thoughts. These result in hatred, jealousy, anger, and so on.
In those venerable times, we did bad things and some of us even committed crimes that hurt and brought shame to our loved ones. In some cases, our precious little ones (our children) got dragged in as well.
We feel so disappointed with ourselves for there is no excuse for such kind of failure as a father, mother, brother, sister, and so on.
People looked up to us and we disappointed them. Regret and remorse are good for they are the first step on the path of redemption.
They may not want to see you again and will probably refuse talking to you. But do not give up and say “I deserve to burn for what I did, I probably wouldn’t ever forgive myself, why should they forgive me? Serves me right”
Work on yourself
Start by showing them love and being faithful and honest going forward. This is not a magic wand but a spark in the direction of healing. It will take a lot of patience on your part as they continue to reject you.
Pull yourself together and stay away from those things and people that have a negative influence on you. Make up your mind to change and make effort and commit to a plan to help you keep your word.
People are not blind, they know when something changes, and even though they may not accept you immediately, do not give up, with time, they will open their hearts once again and all will be well.
We would love to have your own thoughts on this in the comment section. Thanks
