Appreciating our loved ones

Appreciating our loved ones

“Alone, all alone. Nobody, but nobody can make it out here alone.”

Maya Angelou.

We should not play with the people who are important in our lives. Life can draw us into neglecting the important roles these people play on our day to day run-ins, survival, and stability. Just knowing someone is there can give one great comfort.

Sometimes we get carried away and fail to appreciate them. Even though we do appreciate them in our hearts, we do not really show it in their presence or at least to their notice.

Remember that they will not be here forever. We easily appreciate a stranger for helping us but we disregard appreciating those that have been there for us all these times. We feel it’s normal for them to do it, that they owe it to us because we are family.

Showing Care

Do not wait until you lose these precious ones to understand how truly valuable they were to you. Do not take them for granted. Without these people playing their roles consistently in your life for all these years, where will you have been?

It’s easy to commonize the love and friendship of a person until it’s gone. Life is short and you are lucky to have been blessed with the gift of men.

Do away with your pride, your shyness, and show love to them, making sure they understand how much they mean to you and how much you care too. It wouldn’t cost you a dime but the reward is far more to be desired than gold.

We would love to have your own thoughts on this in the comment section. Thanks
