Finding it hard to trust people
“We’re never so vulnerable than when we trust someone – but paradoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy. “
Walter Aderson
Man wasn’t made to live and survive in isolation. The connections we have with others keep us balanced and sane. We naturally crave relationships. Many people have been hurts and betrayed by those closest to them and they have sworn never to trust or even open their hearts again. They suspect everybody around them and are never free. When a good deed is done to them they question the motive behind it.
Doubts, suspensions, and lack of trust will only make us angry, distant, and unhappy. They make us lose our focus especially if the perpetrator is someone very close to us.
Learn to trust people again
We must come to terms with the events that happened in our lives which we had no control over. Even though we wish things had happened differently but here we are. We have to find a way and move on. Memories and flashbacks will come once in a while. But we can rise above the effect and still find happiness once again.
Do not give in to the deceit that you can survive alone. There is joy in having people around you. You are stronger than you think and it’s never too late to start all over again.
