On Getting Back Lost Focus

You have to stay focused and be mentally tough. That’s what I’ve really learned: every day is a grind, and you have to go hard.

Everyone has a mental picture of the future. We have some beautiful thoughts that make us smile. I want money, a plane, to be famous, to travel overseas, to get married and so on. This picture of a better future gives us hope and comforts us momentarily whenever we sit down and dream.

Life is not steady and so, many things happen that tend to deter us from the path and we end up losing focus. It may be sickness, negligence, bad influence from friends, and so on.

Some of us were in secured relationships some time ago believed the other person cannot ever leave us because we have a hold on them and are sure of their love. The care, commitment, and unconditional love they shower us have gotten into our heads and we feel we own them, we lost focus.

We took everything for granted and cheated, neglected, or played with their emotions. Our eyes are finally now opened but we have lost the love of our life.

Get Back on Track After Losing Focus

Yes, acknowledging the truth is the first step toward progress. Accepting the fact that we have drifted no matter whose fault it is, this is key. We must be willing to make sacrifices and fight for our lives by cutting and staying away from that which is causing our loss of focus and do the needful in order to succeed. Everything it takes: kneeling, begging, crying, studying, running, serving, and so on. Anything is possible if we remain focused
